Restaurant owners in the tri-state area of West Virginia (WV), Virginia (VA) and Maryland (MD) will soon have an opportunity to outshine their competitors and claim the prestigious title of “Top Restaurant”.
The Tri-State’s Top Restaurant Challenge, promoted by Boomerang Marketing Group, is a locally held program that will have local participating restaurants
compete against each other using the sales of gift certificates as a measurement. The restaurant with the most program gift certificates sold by the end of the challenge will win the title of “Top Restaurant”.
Devin Dozier, Marketing Coach with Boomerang Marketing Group, states that, “Gift certificates are the fairest source of measurement in this challenge.
Consumers vote by spending money and a gift certificate is the best way to tell a restaurant that you have great food, service and ambiance.”
When asked the question on how a pizza & sub shop could compare to a fine dining restaurant, Mr. Dozier responded, “Ultimately the success of a restaurant is determined by the sells it makes. If a restaurant has excellent food and no customers then it will fail.
Every restaurant has a unique customer demographic. Although a pizza shop would be expected to have a larger quantity of customers, one would expect a fine dining customer to purchase two or three times the amount of gift certificates due to the high plate value.”
The Tri-State’s Top Restaurant Challenge was designed to find the “Top Restaurant”, and to generate more customers for every restaurant that participates in the program.
By the end of the challenge every restaurant should have a larger database of
new customers and a stronger relationship with their current customers.
